Day 4

Today was another busy day.  We spent the morning at Carlsbad Caverns.  That place is awesome!  We rode an elevator down 750 feet  below the surface.  The caverns are immense and the views are unbelievable.  The trail through the cavern is about a mile and a half long and only covers a small part of the caverns.  You have to see it to believe it!  We left Carlsbad and traveled south on highway 54 to Guadalupe Mountains National Park.  There we saw the impressive El Capitain Mountain.  From there we headed south back into Texas and lunched in El Paso.  As you travel through El Paso you can look across the Rio Grande River into Juarez, Mexico.  It is like looking back in time.  The difference between the US and Mexico is very obvious there.  We left El Paso on Interstate 10 and rode about five hours to Willcox, AZ.  Willcox is the birthplace of Rex Allen, the cowboy movie star. On the road to Willcox we saw about 15 Union Pacific trains. We are staying here in Willcox for the night.
